SOUND


Sterotypes - Different + oppersites - Status + Power
Youth; Criminals - smoking illegal drugs
Rude Boys / Rebels - Talking using bad language, and aggressive tones.

Elderly - Weak, Lonely - Not much sound it used within the scene only quick radio noise at the beginning. This Shows that he is lonely as the scene is quiet.
Not much noise has been added over his scene, filmed alone. Long silences - Lonely.

Youth - Loud, Shouting, Motor Bike - Loud Noise (Masculine).
Youths have more power, and threaten and worry the elderly.

Youth careless, reckless - Elderly; takes times in his appearance responsible

Sound motif - Cowboy sound (wisherling), when Clint Eastwood walks onto set, when the bed guy walks on its the sound noice but in a harsh deeper noice. (Darker). This gives you a element to the character just using the sound.
Emotional Realism - Heavy Breathing
Foley - Rustling noice, Tapping. 

Sounds Effects

Ambience - Pertains to the prevading atmoshere of a place. Ambience is widley used as a synonym for ambient sound. Sound consists of noise in the environment.
Establishing sound - Sound that establishes, from the very beginning of a scene, the general character of the surroundings.
Sound motif - A sound effect or combination of sound effects that are associated with a particular character, setting, situation or idea though the film.
Foley - A sound effect technique for synchronous effects or live effects.
Dialogue- Speach from characters.  
Emotional realism - The same sound can serve both the physical and the emotional meaning.
